    Homeowner Remodel Preparation Checklist

    • Real Wood Cabinets - Natural wood has variations, grain patterns and mineral streaking and can not be rejected for any reason
    • Prepare your home in advance - You must completely clear out/off your cabinets/project area so we can quickly go to work
    • Appliances - please have them moved from the work area/pathway in advance (unless arranged w/ office). We do not haul away appliances. We are not responsible for any damage to appliances.
    • Fragile things, valuables & animals must be removed and keep them from the work area and pathway.
    • All changes to the contract must be in writing (no verbal contracts) or in an email with your okay on the change. This may change your install date and final invoice.
    • Any additional work requested by customer before/during/after the installation process must go through the office and will be added to the invoice total. Installers are instructed not to do any work beyond the contract/scope of work.
    • Patience - all work is intricate please be patient. You have made a wonderful investment in your home. It can feel unsettling until RiverCreek Builders says the work is "complete". Be assured we will finish your project.
    • RiverCreek Builders contractors are all master-craftsmen in their field, as good as they are issues do come up. We will work with you to provide for all your needs.
    • Please run all communications through the office. Not with contractors.
    • When you are given an appointment time for our contractors, it's a "window" of arrive time.
    • For your safety and compliance with our insurance, customers must stay away from the work zone, (it's okay to go shopping!)
    • You must be available to inspect & sign off on the completion of the project with final payment available. If all* of your products are physically in your home you have ownership of them. If we are waiting on "a cabinet" or if a cabinet, granite, or flooring needs service we will leave "good faith money"; no greater than 5% of final invoice on the table. This allows us to pay our contractors. Again be assured your project will be complete. And you will love it! That is why you chose RiverCreek Builders.
